Technical Color Manager

The Technical Color Manager (Hybrid) is responsible for managing and supporting their assigned brands in all color and print related functions; from pre-production to press attendance. Thorough understanding of color theory, all printing processes, pre-press, fingerprinting, profiling, conversion profiles, proofing, and print quality make the Technical Color Manager a true brand advocate who can make knowledgeable decisions on behalf, and in collaboration with our brands. The Technical Color Manager's main focus is supporting their brands on a day-to-day basis being the main point person for color and print quality needs.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Manage and execute client-specific color solutions for assigned brands
- Serve as the liaison between assigned brands' appropriate stakeholders and their supply chains including print suppliers, ink manufacturers, converters/fillers, etc.
- Develop and optimize both internal and external brand color management processes
- Manage client expectations in regard to print limitations
- Pre-production support and printability review with internal and external teams
- Fingerprint/profile initiation, review, and validation to printer's print conditions
- Color creation, integration, and management
- Reasonably understand quality tools with the ability to support brands' users
- Print quality job creation in client-chosen software tool(s)
- Post-production sample analysis
Qualifications Include.
- Minimum of three years in the color, printing, pre-media, or prepress industries
- Knowledge of the following color and print software tools: ColorMaster, ColorIQC, GMG, MeasureColor, ColorCert, and Mellow Colour
- Bachelor's Degree in Printing, Graphic Communications or related field
